About Heiva
Heiva is a traditional Tahitian celebration of ori Tahiti, music, drumming, and cultural pride. For generations in Tahiti Nui, Heiva has served as a stage where communities share stories through dance, chant, and rhythm. Each performance carries history, identity, and respect for ancestors.
Heiva i Sea Life Park continues this tradition in Hawai‘i by creating a space where dancers, musicians, and cultural practitioners can gather and share their art. The event brings together youth, families, and experienced performers to celebrate the strength and beauty of Tahitian culture.
The 4th Annual Heiva i Sea Life Park honors the dedication of the ori Tahiti community and provides an opportunity for competitors of many age divisions to perform, grow, and connect with one another. The event highlights skill, discipline, and cultural expression while welcoming the public to experience the energy and pride of Tahitian dance.
